SPPF at the 2nd European Forum of Polish Diaspora Organisations in Rome

Rome, 10–11 October 2026 – a meeting of people united by their commitment to the Polish language and Polish identity abroad

Anastazja Okulicz-Kozaryn, Vice-Chair of SPPF, had the pleasure of participating in the 2nd European Forum of Polish Diaspora Organisations in Rome – a unique gathering of individuals and organisations dedicated to preserving Polish heritage beyond Poland’s borders

It was a time of inspiring conversations, sharing experiences and jointly exploring answers to important questions: How can we effectively support the Polish language abroad, develop Polish-language education and respond to the challenges faced by Polish communities around the world? 🇵🇱📚

Anastazja actively participated in panel discussions, sharing her thoughts and contributing to important debates, while also listening to others, learning from their experiences and finding inspiration for future initiatives.

Particularly valuable were the new connections and meaningful relationships established with people who share the same values and goals. Cooperation, mutual support and knowledge-sharing give us the strength to develop initiatives together in support of the Polish language and future generations of Poles living abroad.

Returning from Rome brought renewed energy, fresh inspiration and the conviction that the Polish language is more than just words – it represents our roots, culture, identity and the bond that connects Poles, wherever they live.

Thank you for all the conversations, your openness and the opportunity to meet people who are passionately committed to preserving and promoting Polish heritage. May these connections become the beginning of many joint initiatives!
