Enchanting and Magic. Anna Kontek, Set Designer and Costume Designer exhibition

Warmly welcome to the Enchanting and Magic – Lumous ja taika. Anna Kontek. Set Designer and Costume Designer exhibition at the Oulu Theatre lobby from December 12, 2024, to January 25, 2025.
Anna Kontek is a set designer and costume designer born in Poland.
After completing her architecture diploma in Warsaw, she began studying in Helsinki at the University of Applied Arts, where she graduated from the set design program and earned a Master of Arts degree in 1984.
She had a long and distinguished career at the Finnish National Opera.
She has designed sets and costumes for over 160 opera, ballet, and theatre productions.
In addition to Helsinki, she has had exhibitions throughout Finland, as well as in Prague, Warsaw, Tokyo, Toronto, Bilbao, Tallinn, and Tartu.
The Enchanting and Magic – Lumous ja taika exhibition presents costume sketches, set elements, and costumes designed by Anna Kontek for the opera Hulttion tie at Oulun Teatteri. (Hulttion tie by Igor Stravinsky, directed by Leena Salonen, 1998.)
The exhibition can be viewed in the lower lobby of Oulu Theatre from December 12, 2024, to January 25, 2025, during the theatre’s opening hours (Wednesday-Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00).
The exhibition is free to enter. Welcome!
The Enchanting and Magic – Lumous ja taika. Anna Kontek, Set Designer and Costume Designer exhibition is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland as part of the “Polonia and Poles Abroad 2024” program and the City of Oulu.
The exhibition is organized by the Association of Poles in Northern Finland.
In cooperation with: Oulu Theatre, Northern Ostrobothnia Museum, Yhdenvertainen Oulu2026 project.

All persons who would like to obtain a passport or need other consular services, please contact us and provide brief information about the nature of the case, e.g. „new passport”.
The next consular visit will be on May 10th, 2024 at the SPPF office in Kumppanuuskeskus.
