“Polish at Full Steam!” – Active Polish Language Day Camp in Oulu
We warmly invite children of Polish origin aged 6–13 living in Oulu and the surrounding areas to participate in the project “Polish at Full Steam!” – Active Language Day Camp, which will take place from June 8–12.
The day camp will be held daily from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Participation is completely free of charge, and the organizers will provide lunch for all participants each day.
The project was created for children of Polish origin living outside Poland who have limited contact with the Polish language and culture. The aim of the camp is to combine active leisure with learning the Polish language while supporting the social, emotional, and creative development of the participants.
The programme has been designed so that learning takes place through play, experiences, and practical activities. Each day will include:
- sports activities and movement games,
- learning Polish language, spelling, and reading,
- science experiments and arts & crafts activities,
- board games and integration activities,
- exercises developing social and emotional skills.
Additionally, one day will include a beach outing and summer outdoor activities.
Activities will take place in small groups of a maximum of 10 children, ensuring an individual approach to each participant and a comfortable, safe atmosphere.
The project aims not only to develop children’s language skills but also to strengthen their connection with Polish culture, build peer relationships, and integrate the local Polish community.
The number of places is limited! Camp will be held fully in polish languange.
We invite you to contact us and register via the registration form.

Funded by the Institute for the Development of the Polish Language from the state budget of the Republic of Poland.
