Oulu Arts Night

For the second time in its history, the Association of Poles in Northern Finland became part of an extraordinary event included in the annual calendar of the city of Oulu – Oulu Arts Night – Oulun Taiteiden Yö – taking place in mid-August.

Poland is currently celebrating the year of Czesław Miłosz, one of the greatest Polish poets and Nobel Prize winner in 1980, therefore the Association of Poles in Northern Finland organized an evening of the Nobel Prize winner’s poetry, during which the poet’s poems were recited in Polish and Finnish. In the cozy and intimate atmosphere of the Kiikku café, SPPF volunteers presented selected poems, and the focused faces of those who participated in the event spoke for themselves…
