Our next gathering, spent actively in the company of the Polish community on a Sunday afternoon, took place in a truly winter setting. Snow crunched under our boots, and the city, slowly sinking into a glow of shimmering lights, looked as if it had been pulled straight from a winter fairy tale.

This time, our indispensable Arek — usually the first to arrive on his legendary bicycle — showed up a little later. Still, as always, he took the lead and invited everyone on an extraordinary wander through the hidden corners of Oulu.

A joint decision was made quickly: since the city lights up with a thousand colours at this time of year, we simply had to seize the moment and set off to discover the most beautiful light installations. The participants unanimously agreed on a small “urban expedition” — and so we ventured out in search of the most breathtaking ones.
