Easter workshops have already become a permanent event in the SPPF spring calendar.
This year we organized it together with the Association of Ukrainians of Northern Ostrobothnia – Pohjois-Pohjanmaan Ukrainalaisten Yhdistys.
On this Sunday afternoon, workshop participants had the opportunity to decorate eggs using the scratching method and using poured beeswax. We also had the opportunity to learn the traditional Ukrainian method of painting eggs, which was taught to us by experienced volunteers from Ukraine.
Our youngest could also show off their imagination. Under the expert guidance of our wonderful volunteer Anastazja, they decorated eggs in various ways.
Both children and adults proudly showed the beautiful and colorful effects of their work! And the positive comments from all participants encourage us to organize Easter workshops next year!
Participation in the workshops was free of charge and all materials used during the workshops were provided thanks to the financial support of the city of Oulu for cultural events.
