The meetings at Pekuri Library, where we read fairy tales to children in both Polish and Finnish, have already become a permanent part of the event calendar of the Association of Poles in Northern Finland.
This time, we read Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. Our older children eagerly helped out and also gladly read a large part of the first chapter—both in Polish and in Finnish.
After the reading, it was time for workshops—everyone enthusiastically started creating their own Pinocchio puppets, and there was plenty of laughter and fun. There was also a little snack to keep our energy up. And the beautiful puppets we created can be admired in the photos!
