Board Games Evening

Friday, 23 January 2026 | Kumppanuuskeskus

Board Games Evenings have already become a tradition of the Association of Poles in Northern Finland. Cold Friday winter evenings are a perfect opportunity to meet in a joyful, friendly atmosphere with a touch of healthy competition.

We began this meeting with an exciting game of Bingo — the competition was fierce, and in the end it was Grześ who was the first to shout “Bingo!”. After this shared game, participants split into smaller groups, choosing their favourite board games. Some decided to play Bingo once again, while others reached for Monopoly, 4 in a Row, Ticket to Ride, or Hedgehog Roll, starting games in changing groups — some at tables, others on the floor.

Some of us, who still remember the realities of the communist era in Poland, sat down to play “Kolejka”, a game whose goal is to “obtain” goods in shops where store shelves were usually empty. There was no shortage of laughter and shared memories during this game.

The Association’s rich collection of board games brought participants plenty of joy and moments of shared fun. We will certainly continue to organize such meetings in the future!
