SPPF Annual General Meeting 2026

The Fifth General Assembly of Members of the Association of Poles in Northern Finland was held this year at Kumppanuuskeskus, near the Association’s office. The meeting was conducted in a hybrid format, allowing members to participate both in person and online. Together, the participants discussed the most important matters concerning the Association’s activities.

During the Assembly, the financial statement and the annual activity report for 2025 were presented. Both documents were unanimously approved by the members present. The auditor also confirmed the accuracy and reliability of the financial statement for 2025.

Another important item on the agenda was the discussion of the Association’s activity plan for 2026 and the presentation of the proposed budget. Both the budget based on the Association’s own funds and the budget financed through grants were reviewed in detail and approved by the members.

The General Assembly also elected a new Board of the Association. Ewa Hildén was re-elected as Chairperson of the Board for 2026.

Anastazja Okulicz-Kozaryn was elected Vice-Chairperson, while Aleksandra Rak-Raszewska will continue in her role as Treasurer. Piotr Prus was re-elected as Secretary of the Association for a second term. Anna Litewka-Anttolainen and Arek Ćwiek were also elected to the Board.

Monika Ćwiek stepped down from her position as a Board member. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for her commitment, contribution, and work on behalf of the Association over the years.

During the meeting, the membership fee for 2026 was also confirmed. In addition, an amendment to the Association’s statutes was adopted, expanding its activities to include Polish language teaching for children and adults through the Community School operating under the Association of Poles in Northern Finland.
