What an evening it was!!!

Full of Chopin’s wonderful music played on the piano by Emma Ylitalo and Vera Małkova, a student of the Music School in Raahe of Ukrainian origin, wonderful performances by our youngest reciting and singing Polish poetry and singing patriotic songs together among old and new friends of our Association!

This year’s celebration was also honored by an online speech by the Consul of the Republic of Poland from the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Helsinki and the joint singing of the song Hej Sokoły in Polish and Ukrainian, in which representatives of the Ukrainian choir Solovejki took part.

As in the previous year, the table was full of various delicacies, and the smell of freshly baked bread brought by our dear volunteers only enhanced the Polish, homely atmosphere of this event and the wonderfully decorated Aleksinkulma hall, which was dominated by red and white colors for the evening.

Thank you all for being there and celebrating Polish Independence Day in Oulu with Association of Poles in Northern Finland for the second time!
