On a beautiful, warm and sunny afternoon, members and friends of the Association of Poles in Northern Finland met for the third time on the banks of Kiiminkijoki river to barbecue and celebrate May 1st and Vappu!

As usual, there were delicious Polish delicacies such as fresh bread with lard (smalec), Polish salad, sausage, delicious buns with poppy seeds and, of course, traditional Finnish donuts – munkki and siima. In a cheerful and friendly atmosphere, it was great to welcome the first signs of spring in northern Finland and spend this festive day together. Thank you all for coming in such large numbers and for a great meeting!
