Representatives of the Polish Association in Northern Finland were invited to take part in this event, which was called – Multicultural Oulu.
After a long renovation, the authorities of Oulu officially reopened the doors of the Town Hall with great fanfare and organized a week full of related events.
SPPF Representatives – Chairman Kajetan Żelech-Alatarvas and Vice-Chairwoman Ewa Hildén,
dressed in Kashubian and Highlander folk costumes, proudly represented Poland and the local Polish community at this event. Together, they led a presentation about Poland – briefly telling its history and highlighting key facts about the country. In the evening, they participated in an international parade along with 19 other representatives from different countries.
