The original plan was to celebrate Vappu – May 1st – together in the picturesque village of Muhos, right by the river…
Unfortunately, due to a forest fire warning issued in our region, we had to change the location. Instead of a riverside forest, we moved our celebration to the equally beautiful Isokankaanjärvi lake – and as it turned out, it was a fantastic choice!
The new spot amazed us with its spaciousness, convenient grilling area, breathtaking views, and wonderfully warm and sunny weather. The atmosphere couldn’t have been better!
Delicious sausages quickly landed on the grill, and thanks to the unmatched Polish hospitality of Ewa and Gidek, we also got to enjoy homemade bigos, which won everyone’s hearts! There were also tasty salads, cakes, doughnuts – and of course, traditional sima!
We didn’t forget about fun and games – both kids and adults happily joined in a spontaneous and laughter-filled game of tag!
It truly was a special gathering. It was wonderful to welcome the spring season in such a warm, Polish company – thank you for being with us!
