Yes, for the sixth time, volunteers from the Association of Poles in Northern Finland, together with representatives from 19 other countries from all over the world, took part in the hugely popular event organized in Oulu by Villa Victor – Värikäs Ravintola (Colourful Restaurant)!
As always, our Polish stand was full of delicious homemade food and baked goods. In addition to the well-known and much-loved stuffed eggs, vegetable salad and apple pie, we also offered some new treats – such as karpatka cake, fruit compote, banana cake, and the absolute crowd favorite: Polish “hamburgers” with breaded pork cutlets (schabowy)!
A big thank-you to our amazing volunteers – Ewa and Gidek M., Arek Ć. and Ewa H. – for preparing the delicious food, and to Ania L.-A., Anastazja O.-K., Maciej P. and again Arek Ć. for their excellent service at the stand.
We managed to sell everything! 💪🤗 (And yes – Arek even managed to sell a pork cutlet… to a vegan! 😄)
The proceeds from the event went to support our Association’s activities.
Once again, we saw how worthwhile it is to take part in such initiatives – thank you to all the volunteers for your incredible dedication!
More delicious Polish treats will return at the autumn edition of the Colourful Restaurant – see you there!
