The Easter Workshop has already become a regular event in the spring calendar of SPPF – this year we organized it for the third time!
The tradition of decorating Easter eggs is very common in Slavic culture, so we are happy that, just like last year, the workshops were co-organized by the Ukrainian Association of Northern Ostrobothnia – Pohjois-Pohjanmaan Ukrainalaisten Yhdistys. It is wonderful that we can together cultivate and promote our national traditions.
On this Sunday afternoon, workshop participants had the opportunity to decorate eggs using poured beeswax, and experienced Ukrainian volunteers introduced everyone interested to the techniques of making Easter wreaths.
Our youngest participants eagerly planted cress, showed their creativity when decorating eggs, and joined in the fun with Easter Bingo, under the skilled guidance of our wonderful volunteer Anastasia.
Both children and adults proudly presented the beautiful, colorful results of their work! As always, there were also sweet and healthy snacks for our hardworking workshop participants.
Participation in the workshops was free, and all materials used during the workshops were provided thanks to the financial support of the City of Oulu for cultural events.
